1990’s Footage of the Cemetery

This video, generously shared with us, offers a haunting yet poignant glimpse of our cemetery after more than 50 years of abandonment. Although some cleanup had taken place about a decade before the footage was captured, the overgrown trees and toppled headstones reflect the years of neglect. Many markers remain legible, standing as quiet witnesses to the past. Despite the decay, nature tended the site in its own way—preserving a sense of reverence and stillness that continues to move us today. We're grateful to have this rare record of what once was, before restoration began.
